Elevate Livelihoods, Peace and Advocacy (ELPA) is a Kenyan registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) under the NGOs Coordination Board, with Registration No. OP.218/051/18-075/11451. Since its inception in 2019, ELPA has lived its overarching mission of fostering sustainable peace and development through promoting community driven initiatives in livelihoods, peacebuilding and equitable health advocacy.
Our programs are designed to empower marginalised community members, particularly youth, women and girls across the Greater Western Region of Kenya, enabling them to actively participate in building sustainable and resilient society. Our organization's roots can be traced back to our predecessor, Elgon Sisters Community Based Organization (CBO) which has operations in Mt. Elgon Subcounty, Bungoma County.

Community-Driven, Locally-Led Programs
Partnerships with Government & Intl. Orgs
Every program is designed with and for the communities we serve — not imposed from outside.
We ensure all programs reach the most vulnerable: women, youth, elderly, and persons with disabilities.
Judicious management of all resources with full donor and community accountability.
We collaborate with government ministries, NGOs, CBOs, and communities for multiplied impact.
ELPA promotes access to universal health care by linking communities to RMNCAH services, malaria, tuberculosis interventions, and advocating for well-stocked local health facilities.
ELPA supports peace through community dialogues, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and strengthening peace committees, councils of elders, and grassroots organizations.
ELPA drives economic empowerment through agro-forestry, smart agriculture, kitchen gardening, women's cooperatives, and environmental conservation for vulnerable households.
Parent & Community Leader — Chepkoya, Bungoma County
ELPA's healthcare program changed everything for our village. For the first time, our girls can stay in school throughout the month because they have the sanitary products they need.
Council of Elders Member — Mt. Elgon, Bungoma County
The peace dialogues ELPA facilitated helped us resolve a long-standing land conflict that had divided families in our community for years. We are now working together.
MAMA NA POINT Participant — Mount Elgon Sub-County
Through the MAMA NA POINT initiative, I learned sustainable farming of African leafy vegetables. Now I can feed my children and sell the surplus. ELPA gave us hope.
Primary School Head Teacher — Mt. Elgon Sub-County
ELPA's anti-jigger campaign donated shoes to over 2,000 students in our schools. The health improvement in children was immediate and remarkable.
